The University of La Verne’s alumni magazine underwent its first major redesign in over a decade to create a more modern and engaging editorial experience for a global audience of 75,000+ alumni while appealing to a younger generation of readers.

Working closely with the Creative Director, I helped redefine the magazine’s visual system through updated grids, typography, color, layouts, and art direction. The redesign introduced a more dynamic editorial framework that combined bold imagery with expressive analog and digital design techniques to create a publication that felt both elevated and approachable.

The result was a more cohesive and visually engaging magazine that strengthened the university’s brand presence while highlighting stories from alumni, students, and the broader community.
