Integrated 360 Campaign

Type Thursday LA

Art Direction & Design: Kandace Selnick

Created for Type Thursday LA, the campaign established an expressive visual language that captured the energy of its monthly gathering while celebrating the craft and culture of typography.

Working across art direction, print, motion, and digital design, my role centered on shaping the campaign from concept through execution, creating a cohesive visual experience across digital, motion, and live event experiences.

Building on Type Thursday's brand elements, the creative direction established a visual language inspired by analog printmaking, bold wood type, vintage posters, punk collage, and expressive graffiti.

Layered typography, flexible grids, vibrant gradients, and textured compositions celebrate the energy, experimentation, and culture of type.

Creative Direction

The campaign extended across emails, reels, pins, posters, Eventbrite, and the event presentation, creating a cohesive brand experience that connected online promotion with environmental graphics at ArtCenter and Meadow York, fostering engagement among students and the creative community.

Fun fact: For the first time ever, our Early Bird tickets sold out in just one week! We'd like to give a special shout-out to our unofficial mascot, "Gutenberg" the Ostrich, for helping us spread the word and send ticket sales soaring.

The volunteer CTA campaign referenced the visual language of Western “Wanted” posters, balancing a consistent typographic framework with distinct gradient treatments that give each volunteer role its own character for recognition.
