Integrated 360 Campaign
Type Thursday LA

Team: Type Thursday LA
Type Thursday Los Angeles is a monthly creative gathering celebrating the art, craft, and versatility of letterforms. Bringing together designers, typographers, and creatives across disciplines, the event creates a space for connection, collaboration, and shared appreciation for typography, lettering, and visual expression.
A cohesive campaign was developed to elevate the event experience, strengthen community engagement, and increase awareness through targeted promotional materials and visual storytelling. The campaign helped drive attendance, attracting 50+ attendees and exceeding the event’s average turnout.
The campaign developed an expressive visual language that captured the energy of Type Thursday LA. Through art direction, print, motion, and digital design, I shaped the campaign from concept through execution, creating a cohesive experience that connected promotional touchpoints with the live event environment.
The Campaign
The visual system extended across emails, social media reels, pins, posters, Eventbrite assets, and event presentations, creating a unified brand presence across digital and physical spaces. Environmental graphics and event materials at Meadow York helped transform the gathering into an immersive experience, strengthening engagement among students, designers, and the broader creative community.
Building on Type Thursday’s existing brand elements, the creative direction developed a distinct visual language inspired by analog printmaking and hand-lettering techniques. The system incorporated bold wood type, vintage poster aesthetics, punk-inspired collage, and expressive graffiti influences to create an energetic and tactile identity that reflected the spirit of the creative community.
Creative Direction
Fun fact: For the first time ever, our Early Bird tickets sold out in just one week, with over 50+ guests attending the event! We'd like to give a special shout-out to our unofficial mascot, "Gutenberg" the Ostrich, for helping us spread the word and send ticket sales soaring.
Volunteer CTA Campaign
The volunteer CTA campaign referenced the visual language of vintage “Wanted” posters, balancing a consistent typographic framework with distinct gradient treatments that give each volunteer role its own character for recognition.
